Where does Bourne55 shoot?
Our venues are currently located at Everyone Active Leisure Centre in Southbourne (West Sussex) where we have regular use of the 'small hall' and for larger club gatherings may shoot in the 'main hall', as well as on Thorney Island during the warmer weather.
We are also actively pursuing the use of a potential outdoor venue in Westbourne.
Can children join?
Junior members between the ages of 9 and 18 are welcome but must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times whilst shooting, unless:
-
They are deemed to be responsible and competent archers and are over the age of 14.
Or
-
They are at least 16 years old and their parent or guardian has given consent to the committee.
Does Bourne55 allow trial members?
We are happy to welcome prospective members along to the club in an informal manner to see if they would like to join up, however, it is recommended that new archers undertake a beginners course prior to becoming full members.
Can I shoot in my garden?
Technically, yes. There are no laws prohibiting this but please bear in mind that archery can be dangerous and proper care and consideration should be taken to reduce the risk of hurting others or damaging property.

Please see this blog post with regards to archery and the law.
