Introduction to Archery Course

At Bourne55 we offer a 5 session course (£60 for adults, £49 for under U18) for people who are new to the sport and would either like to join as full club members or to just explore the sport and learn a little about archery and how to shoot safely.

Below is a summary of the individual sessions you would expect to have on one of our introduction to archery beginners courses.

Introduction

Familiarising beginners with the equipment, rules of shooting, basic technique.

Olympic Recurve

Learn to shoot with a recurve bow sight - just like in the Olympics!

Barebow

Developing archery skills using simple aiming techniques in the barebow style.

Fun Shoot

Choose your preferred bow style and have a go at some challenging archery games like balloon targets!

Traditional Archery

A look at various bows and shooting styles from around the world including English longbows and Asiatic horse bows.
